October 2023 - it was a very hot and at time windy weekend.
62nd RR Championship show - Sydney. Judge Mr P Lundstrom (Sweden). In the Junior dog class Khamsin was 1st and Ki was 2nd. Gaia was unplaced in the Bred by Exhibitor bitch class. Punky was 3rd placed in the Open Neuter bitch class. Khamsin was awarded Best Opposite Junior in Show.
63rd RR Championship show - Sydney. Judge was Mrs Linda Costa (Qld) - Sarula RR's. In the Intermediate dog class Khamsin was 2nd and Ki was 3rd. Gaia won her Bred by Exhibitor class and went on to win Reserve Challenge Bitch and Runner Up Best in Show. Punky was Reserve CC Neuter Bitch and Runner Up Best Neuter in Show. Punky and Gaia also won Best Brace in Show
Gaia's critique from Linda Costa ‘A correctly proportioned and balanced bitch who showed moderation in all things. She has a lovely head and expression, good bone and feet and moved extremely well. To me, she is of a classic Ridgeback style. Hard to find any glaring fault’.

Khamsin & Juliet gain their second Novice Rally Obedience pass towards his Novice Rally title.
22 Oct - Dogs ACT Scent works trial. Gaia and I participated in our first scent works trial. She managed to gain passes in Novice Interiors and Novice Exteriors. These are her first passes towards her Novice Scent Works title.
28 Oct - Fairfield dog shows. In the morning show Khamsin 7 Juliet win a lovely 11 pt Best of Breed. In the afternoon show Gaia wins the 12 pt Best of Breed giving her the last points needed to become a Grand Champion. She is now Grand Ch Kysaridge Aurelias Gaia ET JC.
September 2023
At the Dogs ACT Shows Gaia won 3 Best of Breeds, 1 Runner Up BOB and 2 Best Open in Shows. Punky won 4 neuter BOBs, 1 Runner Up Best Neuter in Group and 1 Runner Up Best Neuter in Show. Ki won 2 RUBOB's.
At the Hound Club of the ACT Punky won 4 Neuter BOB, 1 RU Best Neuter in Show and 1 Best Neuter in Show. Gaia won 1 BOB, 1 RUBOB and 1 Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show.

Sadly, the end of September saw us having to say our last goodbyes to Zeus. His mind was still active, but his back legs were giving out on the poor boy. He wasn't enjoying life as much as he used to. He is deeply missed but lives on in his kids.
July to August 2023
August was a busy month. It started with the Rhodesian Ridgeback Nation in Brisbane with Ms N Nikolic (Denmark) judging.
Ki won 1st Place in the Junior Dog Class and was Best Opposite in Show.
Gaia was unplaced in her class
Punky won 1st place in the Open Neuter class and was awarded Best Neuter in Show with a lovely 16pt BOB.
The Sunday after the show was finished, I had the honour of Judging Lure Coursing which was held at the Ridgeback National for the first time. It was a true privilege watching the dogs doing what they truly enjoy.
After the National it was back down to central NSW for several weeks of showing. With 14 shows, Gaia won 12 Best of Breeds & 3 Best Open in Groups, Ki won 2 Best of Breeds and 3 Best Junior in Groups, and Punky won 13 Neuter Best of Breeds, 6 Best Neuter in Groups, 3 Runner Up Best Neuter in Shows and 4 Runner Up Best Neuter in Groups.
The end of August it was a trip back up to Brisbane for some Lure Coursing. Great results for both Punky and Gaia gaining their final pass need for their Junior Courser title.
July 2023 - Khamsin (Kysaridge Aurum Ector with owner Juliet Ward and Gaia both managed to gain their first pass in Starter Trick Dog at Belconnen Dog Obedience Club trial.
Jan to June 2023
The first half of 2023 has been very busy with 3 new titles gained. Punky has entered the show ring as a Neuter, gaining her Neuter Championship with many Best Neuter in show, Runner Up Neuter in show and group wins. Gaia completed her Endurance Test with easy (and much boredom), gaining her ET title. Ki has had lots of success in the show ring, with a Runner Up Best in Group, several class in Group wins, many Best of Breeds against nice competition and gained his Aust Championship title.
